- iOS has a feature called "Smart Punctuation" which, when enabled, adds punctuation marks to the appropriate places in the input to facilitate the user.
One issue is that when copying content during development, if there is already content on the current line of the input box, a space will be added before the copied content.
The solution is to use the
smartInsertDeleteType
property under UITextInputTraits
to control automatic insertion and deletion of spaces.
